Wax Museum

The Wax Museum is one of the ideal places to visit situated at just 1 km far from the Ooty Railway Station and is housed in a 130 years old glory colonial mansion. Most of us have known about the famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, London. Undoubtedly it’s the best wax statue showcase in the world.  Not everyone can manage the cost to visit Madame Tussauds, however did you realize it is not impossible to get a similar vibe of the wax museum in India. Besides, the museum also houses full portrayal of the life of a rustic household. There are sites where you can see Indian potters and villagers doing ceramics and cultivating, developing and so on. All cut out in wax. The wax museum was developed and introduced by Sri. Santosh K. Mishra, Collector, Nilgiris district in March 2007. An exquisite break from the nature-based tourist attractions, this one has eminent wax statues of famous political leaders, unmistakable personalities and Indian Freedom Fighters. The most famous idols in the Wax Museum incorporate Mahatma Gandhi, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Schwarzenegger and American president Obama; and social figures which incorporate Mother Teresa and A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and so on.
