Kodaikanal Height

The town was established as a summer retreat to guard from the heat and humidity of the decrease plains of southern India in 1845 and is often called ‘the gift of the wooded area Kodaikanal is placed on a plateau at the southern side of the Palani hills forming the eastern aspect of the Western Ghats mountain range in southern India. The hill town sits at an elevation of 2,133 meters above sea stage and is surrounded with thick shola forests, flowery meadows and grasslands. The center of the city is characterized by using a huge manmade lake referred to as the ‘Kodai Lake’. The most important supply of the town’s earnings, just like the other hill towns round India, is tourism.
